Energy & Clean Air
Israel’s energy sector faces many challenges:
Rapid growth, environmental concerns, and climate change present significant hurdles to overcome. While Israel has achieved a degree of energy security through offshore gas supplies, further investment is needed in renewable energies, energy efficiency, and energy storage technologies.
These investments are crucial to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions and fulfill commitments under the Paris Agreement.
At Adam Teva V’Din, we advocate for a clean energy economy while serving as a watchdog for clean air. Since 2008, we have played a pivotal role in shaping the Clean Air law and ensuring that the National Air Quality Strategy is up-to-date and adhered to.
Energizing our future, ensuring a safe present
In order for Israel to meet its energy demands, integrate energy efficiency strategies, and transition to a low-carbon economy, we cannot continue with a “business as usual” mindset. It is imperative that we challenge the inertia and complacency that hinder progress.
Our responsibility at Adam Teva V’Din is to actively monitor emerging technologies like hydrogen, and actively combat avoidable air pollution. Simultaneously, we are dedicated to promoting energy equity among underserved populations, recognizing that their energy needs are escalating due to the effects of climate change.
